Fourth Graders at George Seitz Elementary have a lot to be excited about. Besides the usual, fourth grade will be involved in creating the “States’ Fair” later this spring. Social Studies for most of the year will be learning all about the United States including geography, history, and government. In addition, we will be learning more about the place in which we live, the Marshall Islands. Guest speakers and field trips are in the plans to help us become more knowledgeable in these areas. Improving our reading comprehension skills is still our goal this year. We are reading from a variety of genres and practicing a number of strategies to help us become better readers. Weekly Reading Buddies and Reading Counts quizzes, as well as, quarterly book reports help us to practice what we have learned. Stories like Shiloh and Shiloh Season have kept us on the edge of our seats during Mrs. Davis’ read aloud time. Reading is so important that it is required 15-20 minutes every night for homework in fourth grade. We are all on our way to becoming superb readers! 4th Grade SPECIAL SCHEDULE:
