Welcome to the library! 

My name is Ms. Kienzle.  This is my fist year as the librarian at Kwajalein Schools.  The elementary school library is dedicated to reading.  Classes are scheduled every week to check out books for pleasure reading.  We have over 11,000 books in our library.  The PTO held a used book sale in November to raise money to help purchase new books for the library.  We are currently seeking more funding to help update our collection. 

Library skills are taught at every grade level, K-6.  Students learn how to care for books, check out books and locate books.  The Dewey Decimal System is an important part of the library especially when students are doing research for special class projects. 

This is a learning year for me and I hope to make some positive changes in the library.  I look forward to working with everyone this year and in the years to come!
