Brief Course Description:
This course
is designed for the student who has not mastered the basic
operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. A
considerable amount of time will be spent toward the development
of these skills, along with the extension of these skills into
other areas such as geometry, number theory, ratio, proportion,
and percents. The course will utilize a “spiral” approach with
emphasis on drill interspersed with application, consumer
skills, and enrichment exercises.
