Brief Description of Course:
AP Biology is a college level course
in introductory biology. Curriculum is determined by the AP College
Board and includes 12 laboratory activities. Topics will include
chemistry of life, cells, genetics, and diversity of organisms,
structure and function of plants and animals, and ecology. The class is
a very demanding one and good reading and comprehension skills are
important factors for student success. Due to the demanding nature of
the course, students must have passed both Biology and Chemistry with a
“C” or better, and have the recommendation of a science teacher or
counselor to be eligible for enrollment.
