Marine Biology

Credits: .5 Per Semester

Pre-Requisite: An A or B in Biology or permission from instructor

Brief Description of Course:

This course is designed to explore and learn about the marine world surrounding us here on Kwajalein.  It begins with a look at the life within the ocean.  We will concentrate on the actual organisms and their unique characteristics within the marine environment.  Secondly, we will investigate the ocean itself as an environment and the water that makes it up.  We will also study the many different habitats within the ocean.  Students can expect to do hands-on projects, research and presentations.  Must be comfortable swimmers.
