This course is designed to introduce
students to the basic ideas of physics and chemistry. Topics include
scientific measurement, physical and chemical change, atoms and
molecules, phases of matter, motion and forces, forces in matter, energy
and work, and sound and light. Lab work, activities, and student
projects are an important part of the course.
