Reed was introduced and gave the official start signal at ~6:00am near Namo Weto Youth center.  It was a hot one this year, despite the advantage of some cloud cover.

The fastest man of the day was visitor Robert Jahn competing in the Men's Open Division.  Jahn finished his first loop in 47:51 ahead of all 1-loop contestants and then proceeded to win the 2-loop distance in 1:35:23.  Jahn was followed ~4-minutes later by Kwajalein Jr-Sr High School teacher Jon Jahnke in 1:39:40.  Jahnke improved on his time from last year by ~5-minutes to easily win the Men's Masters (40+) Division.

For the ladies, it was Stephanie Los finishing 2-loops in 1:57:29.  Stephanie is a Master but was the overall ladies winner.  The Kwajalein Jr-Sr High School was well represented at 2-loops with teachers AnnElise Peterson, Doug Hepler, and Christi Davis participating; also student Julianne Kirchner.

Most improved among the adults was KRC Veep John Lafferty.  Lafferty ran 1-loop last year in 56:53.  This year he ran 2-loops; blasting through the first in 51:34, then cruising to a 1:53:48 half Marathon.
