and Mentoring programs for all new teachers.
The Sponsor’s role is to assist new hires
as they make the transition to island life by:

Contacting the new hire prior to arrival

Answering any questions they have

Welcoming the new teacher to the island

Preparing their living quarters for arrival
The Mentor’s role is to:
-
Be a resource of information for the new teacher

Meet twice a month with the new teacher to discuss “Talking Points” -
topics of importance in the KSS

Act as a friend and colleague
